About LYSA
The Lancaster Youth Softball Association (LYSA) was founded to provide a softball complex that is exclusive for Girls and Women’s fast pitch softball. The Association is a non-profit 501(c) 3 not for profit association founded in 1985. Harely and Doris Bair donated the land so that girls had a place to play softball without having to share the field. The complex was dedicated to Doris Bair after her passing because she was the driving force to have Harley donate the land for the girls. Doris passed away from cancer before seeing the first pitch. Harley remained involved with the complex til his passing in 2011. The Lancaster Youth Softball Association continues to provide an exclusive softball complex for just girls. The league has 30-50 softball teams playing Summer League softball during the week from May through July as well has hosting tournaments each weekend that draws teams from throughout the midwest. The complex also hosts Freshman State and in the fall becomes the home field for all six Lincoln Public School’s High School Softball Teams along with Pius High School as well as the LYSA Fall League on Sunday’s.
