UMPIRE

Umpires will work during  league, tournaments, and other events to officiate games.  They will be required to know the applicable rules of the sanctioning organization for the event and be competent and firm in executing calls during the entire course of their scheduled games.

Umpires will typically work in pairs, as assigned, for most games.  

Training and mentoring is available for those with no previous experience.

Uniforms and safety equipment are specific and required, and will be the responsibility of the umpire to provide.

Umpires must be registered with the applicable sanctioning organization and will be required to pay any associated registration fees.  Umpires will be required to submit to a background check receive clearance before being allowed to officiate games.  Background check will be arranged through the sanctioning organization and paid for by the umpire.

League Games are played on weeknights, Monday through Thursday.  Most tournaments take place on Friday evening and continue all day on Saturday and Sunday.  Start times for League games are around 5:30 pm.  Start times for Tournaments are typically around 5:30 pm on Fridays and around 7:30 am on Saturday and Sunday.  End times vary by tournament, but can be past midnight at times.

Desired applicant is at least 14 years of age, is prompt and dependable, firm and confident and has a love for the game.  Fast Pitch Umpiring experience or officiating of other sports is a plus.
